Who Should Apply?
Ignite Seminary provides graduate-level theological education. It is not a Bible college offering a broad range of subjects or liberal arts courses. Rather, the seminary is intentionally focused on equipping men and women to accurately handle the Word of God and faithfully serve in ministry.
This program is designed to prepare men and women for leadership in the local church, missions, church planting, and other biblical ministries and organizations. The coursework is rigorous and requires significant reading, study, and personal discipline.
If you are currently serving as a pastor, sense a call to pastoral ministry, desire to plant churches, or are called to missionary service, Ignite Seminary is designed with you in mind. Perhaps God has given you a strong teaching gift, and you desire a deeper understanding of Scripture so you can rightly divide the Word of God. Or maybe you serve in apostolic or prophetic ministry and want a stronger biblical and theological foundation for the work God has entrusted to you.
If your desire is to know God's Word more deeply, proclaim it more faithfully, and lead others with biblical conviction and Spirit-empowered ministry, Ignite Seminary is designed to help equip you for that calling.
Do I Need Previous Bible College?
Most seminaries require a bachelor's degree for admission. Ignite Seminary is different.
We recognize that many faithful pastors, teachers, missionaries, and ministry leaders have never had the opportunity to earn a college degree. Therefore, admission to Ignite Seminary requires only a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Many experienced ministry leaders have spent years studying Scripture, reading extensively, and completing online or home-study courses. Yet because they are actively serving in ministry, they often cannot leave their churches or families to attend a full-time seminary, nor can they afford the expense. Ignite Seminary provides an accessible opportunity for those called to ministry to receive a rigorous, seminary-level theological education while continuing to serve where God has placed them.
Can I Work While Attending?
Yes. Ignite Seminary is designed for working adults and those already serving in ministry. You can continue in your pastorate, ministry, or career while attending classes.
Courses meet one evening each week for three hours, making it possible to pursue theological education without leaving your current responsibilities.
How Often Do Classes Meet?
Classes meet every Monday evening from 6:00–9:00 pm, making it convenient for those who work or serve in ministry during the day. Each course consists of eight weekly sessions, followed by a short break before the next course begins.
Will There Be Homework?
Yes. Students should expect weekly homework and substantial reading assignments that accompany each course.
Adjunct Professor Mark Prince recommends planning for 6 to 9 hours of study each week outside of class. This includes reading, written assignments, and preparation for class discussions.
Seminary-level education requires dedication and discipline. The coursework is rigorous, but it is designed to be both achievable and deeply rewarding for those who are committed to God's call on their lives.
How Long Is the Program?
The complete program is designed to be completed in three years.
Can I Audit Classes?
Yes. You may audit any course at the same tuition rate as taking it for credit. Auditing students may attend all class sessions but are not required to complete assignments or take exams. Because the course is audited, no academic credit or certificate of completion will be awarded.
