As we all know, First Impressions are important. First impressions matter to guests in our church as well. Before the message has been given or the songs have been sung, our guests have formed opinions of our church based on their first impressions. We have an entire ministry around the reality of a first impression which we call “First Impressions”. The people serving on our First Impressions teams have one focus: creating experiences that bring guests back to our church. When guests are valued, they will return. And every time they return, they will have the opportunity to experience Jesus’ love through our teams and our message. As we create experiences that say, “You matter to God-therefore you matter to us, our guests will be drawn to Jesus. Following are a list of areas within the First Impressions Ministry:
Traffic team – Orchestrating the cars coming in and out of the parking lot and help guests find open parking spaces.
Usher/Greeter Team – Greet guests, distribute bulletins, help guests find seats, and collect the offerings.
Information Services Team – Answers questions, receives registrations and hands out information at the Information Station.
Lobby host/hostess – Provide personal attention to new guests, escorting families with young children to the children’s center, answer
questions and orienting guests to our church.
Hospitality – Creates a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging connectivity and conversation over a cup of coffee or cold drink.
